Popular Nigerian Politician and engineer, Joe Igbokwe, has made a new claim on his official Facebook page. The 65-year-old Man and Special Adviser for Drainage & Water Resources to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, posted Photos of Nigerian soldiers on his Facebook timeline and claimed that the army neutralized more than 300 bandits in two days.
Over the years, the Nigerian army have been working hard to eliminate banditry and terrorism in the country. Since 2011, the country have been experiencing series of attacks from different groups in all parts of the country, especially in northern part of Nigeria.
During the administration of Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Boko-haram terrorists were on rampant killing people through suicide bombing and attacking villages. The government of Goodluck Jonathan was criticised heavily for its inability to conquer the assailants. After President Muhammadu Buhari won the Presidential election in 2015 and got reelected in 2019, insecurity is still one of the major problem facing the nation. Currently the country is ranking as third most terrorised nation in the world.
Because of this, the government of President’ Muhammadu Buhari has received attacks and condemnation from Nigerians for not winning war against insurgency despite promising Nigerians that he would defeat Boko-haram and terrorism within few months in power.
While tackling those who are blasting the President over insecurity, the Anambra indigene posted three photos on Thursday, 9 September, 2021, showing the struggle that the military are undergoing to make sure that criminal elements are wiped out.
He posted the photos and claimed that soldiers killed more than 300 criminal elements within the last 48 hours, aiming that the governmentally of President Muhammadu Buhari is working towards ending insecurity.
