It is so unfortunate that banditry is still on the rise despite the recent warning by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The president had sent a warning to would-be bandits and terrorists that he will not allow them to destroy the education system in Nigeria with their incessant attacks.
Despite this warning, bandits have continued to attack and abduct secondary school students in the Northern part of the country.
Information reaching us has it that bandits have just stormed a primary school in Kaduna State abducting many pupils.
The bandits were said to have arrived at the school premises on motorbikes and abducted a yet-to-be-disclosed number of pupils.
The name of the school in question is UBE Primary School, Rama in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
This is becoming worrisome, these bandits are no longer afraid of anything and look like they are not ready to give up arms.
Recall that Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gumi had advised the federal government to grant amnesty to bandits but sincerely, are these the same bandits that he was agitating amnesty for?
