Minister of State, Niger Delta Affairs, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has resolved to foot the medical bill of a supporter who was stabbed for rejoicing over the victory of Muhammadu Buhari at the tribunal.
Naija News reports that the victim identified as Elvis Omoiro, was stabbed with a broken bottle after a political disagreement ensued between him and a set in Effurun, Uvwie council area of Delta State, the native area of Keyamo.
However, Keyamo while reacting, condemned the attack and assured that justice will be served to the victim of the broken bottle attack.
As part of his reaction to the incident, Keyamo has already reached out to the police in the area to ensure the attacker is fished out and made to face the law.
Keyamo revealed this via his Twitter handle on Saturday, September 14.
This online news platform understands that Omoiro was repeatedly stabbed in various parts of his body by his neighbour who has been identified as Best Uduophori.
Omoiro was stabbed for celebrating the victory of President Buhari at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja where the election of President Buhari was upheld against suits filed before the court by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
I have already taken up this matter. I sent one of my SA’s to the hospital & asked them to send me all the medical bills. I also spoke with the victim & assured him of justice. I then contacted the DCO of Ekpan Police Station to ensure the culprit is arrested and brought to book https://t.co/EUeMqZ28EQ
