It is always a thing of joy when a child is taking after his parents. As children, we are meant to take the good footsteps of our parents knowing fully well that it is for our own good. This is exactly the case of Adam Oshiomhole, whose son is taking after him in the world of politics.
Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole also fondly called Adams Oshiomhole is a popular politician in Nigeria who was once the governor of Edo State (2008 to 2016). He was also the leader and president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), in 1999 to 2007. He is also the former National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Oshiomhole was born on the 4th of April, 1952, in Itamah, a village very close to Auchi in Edo State. He was raised in a Muslim family but later converted to Christianity.
Before the former Edo State governor, Oshiomhole married his beautiful wife Lara from Cape Verde, he was married to her late wife Clara who converted him to Christianity. Adams Oshiomhole and Clara are blessed with five children before her dealth.
Oshiomhole’s first son, Dr Cyril Oshiomhole is absolutely following the footsteps of his father as it concerns politics.
Dr Cyril Oshiomhole is a Medical Doctor, an Environmentalist and co-founder of Clara Oshiomhole foundation. He did his masters in Environmental health and specialized in disaster management, terrorism, and toxicology. He also did his Masters post graduate studies in Clinical Research at Harvard University. The first son of the former Edo State governor, once contested for a political office in Edo State, Nigeria. Dr Cyril contested for the post of Member of House of Representatives representing the good people of Etsaka Federal Constituency bearing the flag of APC in a bye-election. But the young politician ceded the position for another politician in APC after pressure withdraws his ambition.
From the look of things, Dr Cyril could wear his father’s big shoes in future and even become better than his father in the world of politics.
