Warri – Tragedy struck last weekend when a female student of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, was allegedly stabbed to death by her long-time boyfriend.

The student (name unknown), who was said to be cohabiting with her boyfriend, reportedly had an altercation with him on Friday night ,after he accused her of flirting with other men ; this later led to the guy stabbing her with a machete.

NIGERIAN OBSERVER, gathered from a source that It is a common practice among campus girls to pack and co-habit with their boyfriends while at school.

According to the source, the deceased and her boyfriend have a child together .

It was also revealed that the guy must have been high on hard drugs when the incident happened as he refused to run away after the dastardly act.

It happened today (Saturday) at Ozoro. A guy beat his girlfriend to death with machete.

“People said he was high that he didn’t do it with his clear eyes because he didn’t run away after killing her, instead, he rushed her to a general hospital.

“I just confirmed that the girl is a student of the school, but the guy is not. Maybe he has graduated.

“The guy must have been on drugs last night It was this morning that the guy regained himself.

“After seeing what he had done, he rushed the girl to the hospital,” a student from Ozoro campus of the Polytechnic narrated.

A video footage obtained by reporters from one of the students showed a lifeless female body lying on a mortuary slab while the culprit is being flogged with a cane by some angry persons.

An angry mob could be seen flogging and can commanding the killer-lover, whose name could not be ascertained yet, to carry the corpse of the girl and eat her for breakfast.

Fresh, deep multiple cuts could be seen on the head and face of the lady who’s clad in faded blue jeans and pink top with her abdomen exposed.

Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, said he was yet to get the full details of the incident.
