Making the mistake of interring the pastor within the walls of the church was a tremendous blunder. The temptation to revere him and turn his home into a shrine will undoubtedly exist among certain individuals. This is completely unacceptable. He was a human individual who adored Jesus and understood his mission; he was not God, which is why he was killed.
Allows Christians to understand where they must draw the line in order to avoid having their salvation jeopardized. They have essentially turned that building into a shrine, and they want to continue worshipping him/his dead body while claiming that he is still performing miracles in it. God concealed Moses’ body because of the flaws of human beings. Israelites may have made it into an idol and worshipped him, or they could have used it to seek intercession through him. Remember what Saul did to Samuel’s corpse after he was killed? While approaching Samuel’s lifeless body, Saul attempted to make contact with his dead spirit, pleading with him to advocate for them in the same way he did when he was alive.
Unfortunately, some people believe that anything that is pleasing to and approved by fellow humans is acceptable to God. Unfortunately, God is unmoved by the events of the world. He is the one ruler of the universe, and He is not subject to anyone. Even if we all agree that sin is wrong, it will not change what God has stated about it. He is a compassionate God, yet he is not subject to human will. It is for this reason that He is God and we are not.
