The menace of Fulani Herdsmen in various parts of the country has proved to be a cause for alarm for quite some time now.
In a bid to cater for their herd, they have tampered with the crops of many farmers, thereby, putting these farmers’ energy and resources to huge waste.
They have also been reported to take to violent acts when met with any form of resistance against tampering with crops and farm produce.
In a post recently made by Punch on Twitter, a farmer in Iganga, Ibarapa North-West Local Council Development Area of Oyo State revealed what happened to him years ago in the hands of the Fulani Herdsmen.
He owned a 30-hectare farmland of which cassava was the produce. He revealed that he thought that the men who came with their cattles were joking when they brought out their machetes. Not until he was macheted did he acknowledged their seriousness and fled as the machetes couldn’t penetrate his body.
