Chiamaka Nwokeukwu is a popular fast rising Nigerian actress and filmaker who often features in romantic and action thriller movies. She is a very beautiful, creative, gifted, skillful and talented actress who can fit into any movie role given to her.
The light-skinned Chiamaka who will be clocking 23 by April as she was born on the 22nd of April, 1998 in Ajegunle, Lagos State. She is a native of Ohuhu, Abia State, in the eastern part of Nigeria. She is the oldest among three children of her parents (Mr and Mrs Nwokeukwu).
After completing both her primary and secondary school education in Lagos State where she grew up, she proceeded to the National Open University of Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Chiamaka made her acting debut when she was only 18 years old and featured in the movie “Unthinkable” alongside with top actress, Monalisa Chinda. Ever since her acting debut, she has successfully featured in so many Nollywood movies such as Box of Truth, Play Girls, Royal Curfew, The Promise, Innocent Devil, Weeping Flower, Urban Son and so on.
During the cause of her acting career, Chiamaka has also won the City People Movie Award for Best New Actress of the Year (English). She has equally received nominations like the 2014 Best African Film at AFRIFIMO Awards and 2014 Best Actress at the Choice Awards.
The award winning Nigerian actress, Chiamaka is currently single after dumping her ex-boyfriend who didn’t allow her pursue her acting career.
During an interview with the Sun Newspaper, Chiamaka Nwokeukwu was asked to describe her ideal man and she explained that she needs a strong guy that can handle her.
In her words, “I don’t like too much ‘cool’. If you are too calm or too nice to me or you want me to be in control always, I might just overshadow you. I don’t like a man to start acting like ‘oh, I don’t want to hurt her’. I like guys that would tell me ‘look, what you did is wrong, don’t do it again’. I need a strong guy that can handle me.”
