Enraged mob of Muhoroni Sub-County, Kisumu County on Thursday evening lynched a middle-aged man for allegedly beheading his father.
The accused person, identified as Moris Odongo, is said to have differed with his father over loan money when he behead him using a panga.
Muhoroni Sub-County Police Commander Patrick Otieno who confirmed the incident said the suspect after chopping off his father’s head attempted to escape but was cornered by enraged residents who beat him to a pulp.
“He lost his life while being rushed to Muhoroni town hospital for emergency treatment. The accused had little differences over loan money with her father which later turned tragic leading to two deaths in a day,” Patrick said.
Police who raced at the scene found a blood stained panga used by the suspect in committing the heinous act.
Their bodies was moved to Muhoroni Sub-County hospital mortuary pending police investigations.
The latest incident comes only six days when a class six boy was reported missing in the same area.
The search for the missing child is still ongoing.
