MIXED REACTIONS AS Sule Lamido Said If Peter Obi Is Removed From Labour Party, This Is What Will Happen

Former Jigawa state governor Sule Lamido has received mixed reactions after explaining why Peter Obi, the Labour Party’ s presidential candidate, should have stayed in the main opposition PDP rather than migrating to the Labour Party to pursue his presidential dream.

As you might recall, Peter Obi joined the Labour Party after defecting from the main opposition party right before the party’ s presidential primary poll, and later won the Labour Party nomination for president.

In a recent interview with ThisDay Newspaper, the former governor of Jigawa state made clear that the Labour Party presidential candidate cannot have a chance in the upcoming election without a structure.

In contrast to the main opposition party, which would continue to exist regardless of whether a member left the party, Sule Lamido remarked that if Peter Obi is removed from the Labour Party, there will be nothing else left in the party.

The ex- governor said he is unsure of how the Labour Party will support their presidential candidate across the country.

He said: ” If you remove Peter Obi, what do you have left in the party? Nothing. ”

Then he said that Peter Obi ought to have stayed in the main opposition party because it was that party that catapulted him into the public spotlight.
