Rasheed Ladoja, who is the former Governor of Oyo State has Instructed the Federal Government to grant Amnesty to the self- acclaimed Yoruba Freedom Fighter, Sunday Adeniyi popularly known as Sunday Igboho, and the outlawed leader of the people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
The former Governor of Oyo, Rasheed Ladoja also cautioned that more of Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu will spring up if the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration doesn’ t handle their matter with wisdom.
The Former Governor of Oyo, Rasheed Ladoja also lamented that the failure of Successive Government to address the challenges facing Nigeria led to thee emergency of the separatist.
Rasheed Ladoja also mentioned that the Government should not treat the secessionist agitators like criminals but should offer them Amnesty as they have done to repentant Boko Haram members in Northern Nigerian States.
The Former Oyo State Governor, Ladoja also stated that the Federal Government has in the past declared Amnesty for Boko Haram and that they should also declare amnesty for Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu.
Rasheed Ladoja also said that Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho have become leaders and are agitating for what they believe in. He also stated that the Yoruba Leaders including the Alaafin of Oyo have been complaining about the atrocities committed by some suspected herdsmen and nothing has been done about it until now.
The Former Governor of Oyo State, Ladoja also mentioned that Boko Haram was arrested a year ago by the Government and have also been released to the Borno State Government.
Ladoja also stated that Sunday Igboho Yoruba Agitators Group was created because of the killings in the Ibarapa axis of Oyo State and nobody has been arrested for it and that even if they were arrested, they were later released. He also said that this is the reason why people decided to help themselves.
