This is the third week in the month of September, yet the N-power management has not paid July Stipend to the batch B beneficiaries of the programme. These beneficiaries were said to have been exited from the Programme since 31st of July this year. Since then, as each week passes, the beneficiaries keep expecting that government would surely pay them their last stipend, especially, now that the cost of living in the country is getting unbearably high.
Moreover, the timing pattern of stipend payment to beneficiaries in previous records had been in such a way that Beneficiaries usually do hope for their stipends paid either on the beginning of a new week ( Monday /Tuesday) or towards the end of a week (Thursday/Friday).
However, despite the delay in the payment and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs’ recent seeming silence over the issue, some volunteers are still optimistic of the fact that they will definitely be paid their July Stipend.
Such is the case of one beneficiary, Jameelu Sulaiman Ikara who took to the Beneficiaries group’s Facebook page yesterday to express his optimism and hope that Beneficiaries shall receive their July Stipend before the end of this week.
In his post he said:
“July Stipend will start tomorrow, Insha Allah”
His post has, however, reawaken the hope of many other volunteers for the stipend. This is shown as many other group members/ batch B beneficiaries expressed their optimism through their various replies and comments on the post.
