National Association of University Students Invites Students For Nationwide Protest

The apex student association in Nigeria, National Association of Nigerian Students, NAUS, has through its Senate arm invited all Nigerian students to a nationwide protest in order to kick against the lingering ASUU strike

This latest development was made public via a post made on a facebook page named NAUS SP Secretariat on 13th October, 2020.

Below are excerpts and content of the letter:

“The National Association of Nigerian Students (NAUS) being the highest decision making body of all students in Nigeria invites you to a Nationwide protest to demand for the end of the lingering ASUU strike.

“NOTE: You are expected to lias with your various schools management for the release of vehicles and other necessary support. Note also that, it is mandatory being a Senator of this organization to mobilise your students ahead of the nationwide protest, with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines”.

As stated in the invitation letter, the planned day of the protest is 20th October, 2020, and the proposes venues of the protest are National Assembly, Abuja, Federal Ministry of Education and Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment. Time of the protest is 8.00am.
