Nicolas Cage has filed for an annulment four days after marrying Erika Koike in Las Vegas.
He may have only just tied the knot, but it seems the 55-year-old actor already wants out and filed for an annulment in Clark County, Nevada on Wednesday (27 March), according to reports.
Nicolas has been dating make-up artist Erika since April last year and The Blast reports that the couple secured a marriage license on 23 March and were wed the same day in Vegas.
The publication claims that Cage is requesting a divorce if an annulment cannot be granted.
The reasons for the sudden turnaround are not yet known, but it comes after Dailymail.com obtained footage of Nicolas, appearing to be drunk, at the courthouse in Vegas while applying for the couple’s marriage license.
He is seen in the video shouting that he’s ‘not doing it’ to girlfriend Erika and the publication reports Nicolas accused her of wanting ‘to take all his money’.
Nicolas and Erika still went ahead with the marriage license and their marriage certificate shares the same date as when their license was issued.
Metro.co.uk have reached out to Nicolas’ rep.
Nicolas’ marriage to Erika is his fourth marriage. He split from first wife Patricia Arquette in 2001 after six years of marriage and went on to wed second wife Lisa Marie Presley in 2002.
Cage and Lisa filed for a divorce just three months after their wedding and it was finalised in 2004 – the same year Nicolas married third wife Alice Kim.
He and Alice were together for 12 years and share 13-year-old son Kal-El.
