Nigeria Youths BLAST FG Despite Re-Opening NYSC Camps All Across The Country

The Federal Government under the administration of President Buhari has announced the re-opening of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camps across the country.

The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare confirmed this on Thursday via his official Twitter page.

“The Resumption of the NYSC Orientation Camp for prospective Youth Corpers has been approved and opens on November 10th, 2020. Full COVID-19 Protocols will be enforced,” he said.

A news that should have come as a good news for Nigeria youths but reversed is the case. The youths believed it is a strategy by the Government to take some of them off the streets with the aim to disrupt their ongoing protest against Police Brutality and SARS/SWAT.

Here are few reactions from Nigeria youths on Twitter.

#EndSWAT @EndSWAT6: “Don’t distract us, NO JOB after that useless service. Abuja UNITY FOUNTAIN TODAY; 8AM. ALEX EKWUEME SQUARE AKWA Tomorrow 8am”

Emmanuel @Emmanue41720182: “At this point it’s anything to get young people off the streets by reopening universities and nysc camps because of the gathering momentum of protests championed by young people. Very predictable!”

Osarenren Junior Osabuohien @osarenren_o: “Lol youths will still protest, camp is just 3 weeks na E go finish them men go enter street back.”

Goodness Ekezie @GoodnessEkezie1: “They are trying to reduce the number of protesters. Rubbish. Very soon now ASUU will call off strike.”

officialaregborgoodluck @officialaregbo1: “Attempt to take the youth of the protest ground. God oh shame them”

@KpeboThomas: “Make dem no protest. If they take youth off the streets, our mothers and fathers will protest.”

@Omowoleolar: “Don’t distract us Biko we that have graduated and serve where is the job and when we start to do small business again you will be cutting people life short because we were sensible enough to go hustle for ourselves and not die in penury”

Belteshazzar @orderofDaniel: “Divide & Rule tactics. The vestiges of Military Rule never comot from dem body. Never again are we going 2 allow a retired military person or anyone who has been a part of military regime rule this country until Jesus returns to rule in d midst of His people.”
