Over the years the government has taken measures to ensure that the people are protected by any for of fraud.
A Nigerian man named Harry Agbenu Austin and his wife named Mary Agbenu Austin are still in hiding after allegedly defrauding at least 400 Nigerians to the tune of N800 million.
This might sound impossible but those who were around sometime in 2015 know that this was among the headlines at the time, and according to the the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Nigeria website the whereabouts of the couple is still unknown till date.
The couple were said to be operating under a firm known as Megarice in Kubwa, Abuja until they used their company, to defraud over 400 members with their deposit totaling over N800million.
According to reports, the members were promised an interest which was up-to ten percent monthly on their investments.
Many people in the society want to enjoy life by acquiring wealth, but it is important to always respect other people who trust you with their hard earned money.
