Farouq Aliyu, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has praised President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to strengthen the country.
Aliyu, who was a guest on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Wednesday, said, “No government in this country has done as much social intervention programs as President Muhammadu Buhari.
“The APC leader mentioned this when discussing the party’s chances in the 2023 presidential election.
While the administration may not have succeeded in all of its endeavors, he feels it has done far better than its predecessors.
He took shots at the Peoples Democratic Party, claiming that people are fleeing due to a lack of leadership.
“But we have the President in our party,” Aliyu remarked, adding that the PDP “cannot brag of having a leadership as good as President Buhari’s.” Whatever you want to say about Buhari, he is a man of unquestionable honesty.
The President’s election campaign was built around three primary promises: increased security, a better economy, and a fight against corruption, all of which Aliyu feels he has delivered on.
He cited the President’s Trader Moni program, N-Power, school food programs, and road reconstruction initiatives as examples of his achievements.
Despite government assurances to the contrary, the country is becoming increasingly riddled with economic instability, insecurity, and corruption, the APC chairman believes that his party has a greater chance than any other.
“Nigerians have great faith in the APC,” he stated, adding that if the party loses the presidential election, the government will boldly acknowledge loss.
