President Muhammadu Buhari has declared war on bandits killing innocent citizens across the country.

The president said this while reacting to the killing of over 40 people by bandits at Goronyo market in Sokoto State on Sunday, issued a serious warning to the culprits, saying, ” The clock of your criminal activities is ticking as you will no longer have a place to hide. ”

Garba Shehu, the President’ s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, said this in a statement on Monday.

The statement reads, ” The days of the bandits are numbered because the capabilities of our military forces are being strengthened by the deployment of new weaponry. ”
