Dear President Muhammadu Buhari, I humbly write this open letter to you as a young and concerned Nigerian citizen that I am. It is no longer news that our great country over the past few weeks has been visited with diverse reports of chaos and atrocities.
From the issue of ESN and the Nigerian Army in Orlu, Abia State to killings of innocent people and destruction of their businesses and properties in Oyo, Edo, Kaduna and other States in the country all in the name of a War against Fulani Herdsmen, a fught that has now affected both the innocent and guilty.
The ones who influence these perpetrators hide behind the lies they tell the public that they are fighting for justice while in the real sense, their selfish goal is to use their influence to divide and destroy Nigeria and in the process acquire power for themselves.
Dear Mr President, order the arrest of these 2 persons immediately in order to restore Peace in the country.
- The first person is Nnamdi Kanu. This particular man who is the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB) was the same person who created Eastern Security Network (ESN). A group which was unlawfully created to fight Fulani Herdsmen in the East, a place that has always been known for being peaceful and isolated from attacks by Bandits.
Now this ESN group members without proper training and orientation, carry weapons that are not authorized by the Federal government and might also grow to become a terrorist group in the future just like Boko Haram. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.
- The second person on this list is popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho. This man singlehandedly issued a quick notice to Fulani herdsmen in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State. After his 7 days ultimatum expired, Sunday Igboho together with help from mislead people made good his promise and forcefully evicted the Fulani people in the community. After this violent eviction, he lead his illegal team again to Ogun state to attack another Fulani community.
This act by Sunday Igboho was unconstitutional because according to section 41 of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria, every citizen has the right to move freely throughout the country and as well reside in any part of the Nigeria and no citizen shall be sent out or refused entry in any part of the country. However, Sunday Igboho thinks he is above the law and went against the provision of the Constitution, yet he still roams freely and who knows, maybe already planning another attack.
Honorable Mr president, every crisis has a root or a foundation it can be traced to. I strongly believe the current crisis and fights in the country between Herdsmen and other citizens is traceable to Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho and these two people should be arrested immediately to restore peace and stability in the country.
What do you think about this? What do you think our leaders can do to get us out of these current crisis? Kindly share your thoughts in the comments section
