President Muhammadu Buhari is a man of little words. He hardly speaks or makes noise, he believes more in action. Recall that the President was accused of being silent over the security situation in the South East. However, when he spoke, the situation was resolved. He is an “action man”.
Also, President Buhari is known for his integrity. When he speaks, he delivers. He promised Nigerians that his administration would revamp the rail sector. He is currently doing that.
Before he was elected, he promised that his administration would feed children in public primary schools. He also fulfilled that promise.
1 The National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) Farm Estate
On July 19, the President was in his hometown Katsina to commission the first NALDA integrated farm estate. The estate is not only focused on plants, it also breeds livestock.
NALDA also provides farmers with the necessary information and technical know how to improve their productivity. They provide farmers with improved breeds that would significantly improve their yield.
President Buhari promised Nigerians that he would improve food security in the country. The commissioning of this farming estate is a step in that direction.
2 Kaduna-Kano Rail Line
In the same vein, the President was in Kano on July 15 to launch the Kano-Kaduna Standard Guage rail line.
Recall that the president was in Lagos last month to launch the Lagos-Ibadan railway. The rail network that was erstwhile ‘dead’ in Nigeria is being revamped by Mr President.
This is another step in the right direction. President Buhari has shown that he can fulfill promises.
When he promised to revamp the railway sector, there was almost nothing on ground. However, in just six years he has been able to turn the situation around.
