Hello everyone! I believe we are all doing well.
Today, i want to enlighten us on some basic things we need to know (if we’ve not actually known), about our financial institutions.
Although, we all know that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has all our details, and wouldn’t seek your conscent before taking up some actions over your account. However, that doesn’t mean that we should therefore not be guided in the way we disseminate our information (financial information) to other people out there.
This is what i mean — the country is obviously going through a phase now, and people would stop at nothing to swindle or dupe other innocent people of the little they have. So, it would be rather unfortunate for one to begin to give out private information to strangers in times like these.
Now read carefully…. Some heartless people out there might want to prey on some innocent and naive citizens out there, and by doing so, might want to impersonate CBN, hence telling you to send some vital and personal information (financial information) to them, PLEASE, DON’T SEND IT.
The world is in her jet age now, and i am sure we all know that there are several ways in which some people now carry out fraudulent activities just because they want to add more money to their money. One of the ways might be to tell you to send your OTP (One Time Password) to them or your Bank’s Verification Number (BVN).
Please, don’t ever share this information with any stranger. Bearing it in mind that your financial institution would never ask for such information from you, because it is already saved in their systems. Information like these is personal and should never, for what so ever reason be shared to an unknown person.
These people don’t care if you are living well or not, all they want is to get hold of a prey and clear all the money in the person’s account. Which is why i feel i should enlighten as many as i can, the more reason you need to share this article — you might just be saving a life by sharing this article.
Please, “DON’T EVER SHARE YOUR BANK DETAILS, ESPECIALLY YOUR BANK VERIFICATION NUMBER (BVN) TO ANY STRANGER”, AND ALSO, DON’T EVER SEND ANY CODE TO ANY STRANGE NUMBER OR PERSON.
“A word, they say, is enough for the wise”.
