The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for 2020/2021 Academic session has already been done and the results of the candidates has been released. Some had high scores in the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination while some had low scores.
Before you enter the University to get a degree in Nigeria, you must first write JAMB. The various types of tertiary institution in Nigeria have cut-off marks. As a candidate, your score determine the type of tertiary institution to apply for. The cut-off marks for the tertiary institutions have been released.
They are as follows:
Universities – 160
Polytechnics – 120
Colleges of Education – 100
Innovation Enterprises – 100.
So if you scored above 180, you can apply for any tertiary institution in the country but if you scored below 180, check out with your score the type of institution you should apply to avoid disqualification. The tertiary institutions in Nigeria had to stop because of coronavirus pandemic inorder to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. But the Federal Government has reopened the institutions for learning.
