Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho has reportedly been arrested in Cotonou, capital of Benin Republic, on Monday Night according to The PUNCH. The Yoruba nation agitator was arrested at an international airport in Benin Republic.
PUNCH reported that Sunday Igboho was arrested while he was trying to travel out of Benin Republic to Germany. The source also stated that he would be extradited back to Nigeria on Tuesday. Recall that Igboho was declared wanted by the Nigerian Department of State Services (DSS) for illegally amassing and stockpiling weapons in his Soka residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Indeed, there are some things that happened during Sunday Igboho’s recent arrest in Benin Republic that deserves to be scrutinized. First, how did Sunday Igboho get to Cotonou in the first place since his passport was reportedly seized by the authorities who raided his apartment?
