Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) through his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has shed more light on his re-arrest by the Nigerian government.
Recall that last month, the Federal Government through the attorney-general of the federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami announced that the IPOB leader was “intercepted through the collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and security services”, to continue to face charges bordering on treasonable felony instituted against him by the government over years of agitations for Southeast secession from Nigeria.
Consequently, according to TheCable, while opening up on his ordeal regarding his arrest, Kanu disclosed that he was chained to the bare floor at a private facility when he was arrested in Kenya before being handed over to the Nigerian authorities who flew him on a private jet to Abuja on Sunday, June 27
The IPOB leader while speaking further, revealed that he was blindfolded and as well the only passenger onboard while he was be flown from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi to Nigeria.
To this end, diverse reactions have continued to trail the new revealation emerging from the arrested IPOB leader.
But recall that the Kenya authorities had denied having any hand in the arrest and extradition of Kanu to Nigeria, saying “it does not want to be dragged into Nigeria’s internal affairs.” View pictures in App save up to 80% data.
