The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of selling Nigeria
This is after the President made a fresh demand for the national assembly to approve another move to secure $4bn and €710m loans
The party is enraged by the “further mortgage” of the country and warned the National Assembly to protect generations unborn.
PDP spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, made this claim in a statement on Tuesday.
While lamenting that the Buhari administration already accumulated N33.107trillion debt, he expressed fears that there might not be a nation after the APC leaves power.
He also accused the Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government of “reckless borrowing”
“They have resorted to the pillaging of national vault and suppression of productive sectors, a development that have crippled our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to the extent that our naira, which the PDP handed over to the APC at N167 to a dollar, has collapsed to an all-time low of N557,” he said in the statement.
