PDP Suffers Set Back In Edo As Hundreds Of Members, Mobilizers Dump Party For APC [PHOTOS]
The political atmosphere in Ososo, Akoko-Edo Local government area of Edo state was charged again as members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says goodbye to their former party.
The group of decampees who were numbered to be over five hundred persons(500), says they are tired of hearing promises without fulfilling any from a government they worked for. The decampees who pledged their unflinching loyalty to the member of representing the Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon Emmanuel Omoladun Agbaje and the leader of APC in Akoko-Edo Local Government, Hon.Peter Akpatason.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, Akoko-Edo party chairman, Prince Ojo Maliki who wholeheartedly welcome the new members said they should all see themselves as equal with the old members. In his words, “You are welcome to our party, we see you all as equal with those you came to me without discrimination. There is nothing like old or new APC members”.
The event was witnessed by leaders and members of the party across the local government amongst whom were the former chairman of the Akoko-Edo Local Government, Hon. Jospeh F Akerejola, APC Vice Chairman in the Local Government, Hon.Monday Oseh; Hon.Henry Ekundayo, Students from the prestigious Auchi Polytechnic, Women Leaders across the wards in the local government and other party faithfuls.
