A People Democratic Party stalwart in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has decamped from PDP to Labour Party, and declared total support for its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, said he has never witnessed this kind of support given to Peter Obi by youths of all ethnics and religions.
Babatunde Gbadamosi, a former governoship candidate of the African Democratic Party and an ex-Lagos East PDP Senatorial candidate, made this known in an official statement issued on Friday, 5th August 2022, in Lagos State, said he has never seen a presidential candidate who has been supported by multitudes of youths across all ethnics and religious backgrounds in Nigeria like Peter Obi is being supported ahead of 2023.
He said that he had completely lost hope in the citizens of the country, especially the youths. However, Babatunde Gbadamosi said that Peter Obi’s defection from PDP to Labour Party and subsequently became Labour Party’s presidential candidate, and his choice of Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate, have rekindled his hope.
Babatunde Gbadamosi expressed joy, said that the kind of energy, vim, vigor, unity and tenacity by Nigerian youths from all ethnics and religions for Peter Obi’s victory have never happened in Nigeria before, adding that the youths have never being so interested in any presidential candidate like they are currently interested in Peter Obi ahead of 2023 election.
