In the early hours of today, the presidential running mate ofof the, was granted an interview by a correspondent of BBC News Pidgin. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa spoke extensively about the fast approaching presidential election.
Talking about the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party (LP), Governor Ifeanyi Okowa said, “Peter Obi will get votes but his political experiences are too small (for the presidency).”
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state added that Nigerians should be careful about their preferred presidential Aspirant. In his words, “it is not about saying they want someone who is new. That was how they said in 2015 but what was the outcome of the new person?”
He finalized by saying, “I want Nigerians to think about important issues. One of these issues is national unity. Nigerians need a president who will unite the citizens despite their glaring differences.”
