Former Nigerian aviation minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode on Thursday 22 July, met with the Aare Ona Kakaanfo (the Field Marshal) of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams, at his palace in Oyo State. According to him, they discussed the issues affecting the Southwest and the way forward, he described the meeting as fruitful and productive.
“It was an honor and privilage to have a crucial meeting with Iba Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakaanfo (the Field Marshal) of Yorubaland, earlier today. We discussed current issues touching and concerning Yorubaland and Nigeria and the way forward. The meeting was forthright, candid, frank, fruitful, warm and productive, thanks for receiving me so warmly Aare, it is always a pleasure to see and spend time with you, may God continue to lead, guide and protect you.”
Recall, former Presidential spokesperson, Mr Reno Omokri, had called on the Aare Ona Kakaanfo (the Field Marshal) of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams and other Yoruba leaders to come together in defense of the embattled leader of Yoruba agitation group, Mr Sunday ‘Igboho’ Adeyemo, after he was arrested in Cotonou.
