Jungle justice is now prevalent in the country. Instant trial and conviction is meted on the accused or suspect by the people in the area. Many Nigerians have been murdered by an angry mob, without given a chance of a fair trial.
Sad news coming from Urua Anwa community, in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, reveal that a young woman was stripped and publicly disgraced for for allegedly stealing a chicken.
According to the photos and information shared by a human rights activist, Harrison Mbamara; the residents of Urua Anwa totally stripped the lady off her clothing and tied the hen she alleged to have stolen around her.
As if that was not enough, the villagers forced the young woman to walk across every corner of the community fully unclothed with the hen around her bare body. They chanted and shamed her all the way through her terrible moment.
For such an alleged crime, the suspect should be handed over to the security operatives and not made to go through this inhuman condition.
