Punch News reports that Osun State Police Command has reportedly commenced investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of a couple who were identified as Olasukanmi and Fisayo Eso, whose dead bodies were discovered inside their apartment by residents. The spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, was said to have confirmed the sad incident during an interview she has with the newsmen on Monday.
Based on the reports that were gathered from the statement of the spokesperson, it was learned that the police had an interview with one of the residents that discovered the dead bodies of the couple, speaking to the police under the condition of anonymity, the resident was said to have urged the police to release a report of the autopsy that was conducted on the couple so that the cause of their death will be known, however, the police replied that the full result of the autopsy is yet to be determined, but it was suggested that the fumes emanating from the victim’ s generator led to their death.
According to the statement of the spokesperson; ” We are still expecting the full result of the autopsy test that was conducted on the bodies of the victims, but fumes from the generator supplying to the apartment occupied by the victims are strongly suspected to be the cause of their untimely death” .
Another resident who spoke to the police and some journalists under the condition of anonymity said that she suspects that the victims were murdered by someone rather than being killed by the generator fume, however, the police replied that investigations are still ongoing and the cause of their deaths will be determined as soon as possible.
The victim’ s family members have also been contacted and they are also waiting on the results of the autopsy test before commencing the burial arrangements.
