According to a news that was posted by Punch Newspaper early this morning, a 49 year old evangelist, whose name was given as in Victoria Agori, has narrated how her son was killed and his body seized by men of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit, after her deceased son disrespected her elder daughter and her daughter (Felicia Agori) told her boyfriend who is a policeman, Victor Nelson to come and beat her son and his girlfriend so that, they won’t be rude to her again, as she is not their mate.
However, when these policemen stormed her residence located in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, they molested the whole family members, as they beat her (the mother-in-law to be), beat her son that was accused by her sister, collected money from them, shot bullets in the house and took them all to their station after they labelled her two sons armed robbers.
She said when they got to the station, they were molested again, and during this time, policemen removed the shirt of her son’s girlfriend, and also brought out another cloth and they blindfolded her two sons and he heard their boss telling them to waste the two boys immediately right in her front. When she heard this, she shouted and due to that, they speared her last born while the other one was shot dead immediately by her daughter’s boyfriend, as one of the inmates was called to clean up the blood and take the body somewhere.
After this incident happened on May 11, 2019, her daughter ran away from home and since then, she hasn’t came back home as the information she got was that, she’s still with her police boyfriend.
She said before end SARS panel came, the policemen responsible were always threatening her and the lawyers that were helping her get justice but, since the time the end SARS panel has been set up and a lawyer helped her submit the case in Abuja, the policemen involved have been calling her and telling her that they should settle the matter amicably before the date that was given to them to appear before panel, January 26th, 2021 comes.
