Popular Nigerian comedian and TV presenter, Okey Bakassi is one of the latest influential figures in the country to criticise President Muhammadu Buhari’s medical trip to the United Kingdom.
The actor went on a radio show with wide coverage to express his grievances against the Nigerian leader. He opined that no western leader will visit another country for medical treatment. Since Buhari took over power in 2015, he has been journeying to London for medical treatment.
The health sector in Nigeria has been apparently abandoned with resident doctors embarking on a national strike under the nose of the present administration. Bakassi’s criticisms of Buhari have gone viral on social media with the supporters of the president feeling hurt.
