Founded in 2012 by Nnamdi Kanu, the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) is a separatist organization geared towards the actualization of an independent state of Biafra in the South East region of Nigeria.
IPOB supporters are mainly the Igbo people, and of all the separatist groups believed to be of a threat to Nigeria, none seems to be of much concern to the federal government as IPOB.
President Muhammadu Buhari recently made a Twitter post referencing the Nigerian Civil War which has since been deleted for violation of laid down rules, resulting to the ban of the social media platform in Nigeria.
In the Tweet, Buhari said he will treat those misbehaving in the language that they will understand.
And in an interview with Arise TV yesterday, Buhari repeated same statement.
The President also said IPOB is just like a dot in a circle because they will not have access to anywhere following the confirmation he got from the South South region of their loyalty to Nigeria.
Femi Fani-Kayode has now laid emphasis on Buhari’s statement and said those words were carefully chosen by the President.
FFK also said these words are “really loaded”, but didn’t explain what he meant by that.
