It is important that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not underestimate the two incumbent governors of Nigeria who are running on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the upcoming presidential election. A bigger likelihood exists that the former governor of Lagos State will be chosen as the candidate to represent the ruling party in the year 2023 election.
In the upcoming presidential election, it appears, however, that the national leader of the ruling party will face no significant challenge from a formidable opponent.
Even if he is a smart and wise politician, he should not take it for granted that no politician will show up to confront him in the months leading up to the start of the 2023 elections. He should be prepared and ready to face any applicant, no matter how difficult the situation may be.
However, regardless of the final decision made by the party, Tinubu should never underestimate the abilities of these two governors.
Kayode Fayemi is the governor of Ekiti State
In the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State can be identified as the candidate who will give the former Lagos state governor a difficult time during the party’ s presidential primary process.
He is more than simply a typical governor in the party because he has a position that is both influential and strong in the organization.
Fayemi is the current chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, which he founded in 2003. A forum where all of the country’ s governors will convene for discussion will be established.
Tinubu, if he decides to run, will likely have to put in a lot of effort prior to the start of the election in order to emerge as the party’ s presidential candidate.
Tinubu should not underestimate Fayemi as a potential presidential candidate in 2023.
Yahaya Bello is the governor of Kogi State of Nigeria.
Yahaya Bello should never be underestimated in the next presidential election, despite the fact that his presidential ambitions are still highly contentious in the country, as seen by the fact that people from various sections of the state have been endorsing him while others have not.
Yahaya Bello has gained widespread popularity inside the APC as a result of his participation as a member.
Yahaya Bello may earn favor with a large number of individuals due to his youth. Tinubu, on the other hand, should be prepared to deal with a situation similar to that of Yahaya Bello if one arises before the next presidential elections.
Governor Fayemi of Ekiti State and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State are the two incumbent governors who Tinubu should not take for granted at this point in time.
