It was indeed a glorious exit for the governor’s father in Ogun state, Late Pa Emmanuel Abiodun. Pa Emmanuel Abiodun passed away in the United Kingdom on August 2, at the age of 89 and this week has been scheduled for his burial.
Since the death of Pa Emmanuel Abiodun, the Iperu kingdom in Ogun state has been receiving lots of important dignitaries like traditional rulers, Business owners, Politicians and many more. Yesterday was scheduled for prayers and words and so many dignitaries including popular men of God were present at the burial which took place in Iperu, Ogun state.
A few hours ago, the governor of Ogun state and the proud son of late Emmanuel Abiodun, Governor Dapo Abiodun has taken to his verified Instagram page to thank everyone present yesterday.
In his post, he said “Yesterday’s Funeral service marked Dad’s final passing into eternity, with prayers and words from clergy and guest dignitaries that described the life of a rare breed in all of the family, religious, academic, work and community relations.
President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR who was represented by Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, emphasised this message to reflect Dad’s life and principles.
The Abiodun family appreciates all well-wishers who have condoled with us at our home and the service. Daddy will surely rest well with God’s grace, all the love, and his life well spent.”
Although, the president of Nigeria could not attend the service due to the visit to Imo state he was well represented by his vice, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, the Abiodun’s family were so honoured to have the second citizen of Nigeria on the seat.
Also, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye was present and according to Governor Abiodun, the men of God that were around preached the undiluted word of God.
