Formerly Melford Dokubo Goodhead Jr. who is typically referred as Asari, a major political figure of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger Delta region has blasted the governor of Rivers State, governor Nyesom Wike.
Though what lead to his fuming up anger that warranted him calling Ikwerre and governor Nyesom Wike who happens to be Ikwerre’s product name was not disclose by City News Port Harcourt during the time of this report.
Asari Dokubo said that Nyesom Wike is an Igbo man claiming not to be Igbo just to deceive Ijaws and other ethnic minorities in Rivers State. According to the formal president of Ijaw Youth Council, Asari Dokubo, Nyesom Wike is claiming to be a Niger Deltan even when Ikwerre does not have a drop of oil in their land.
He stated that even his fellow Igbo communities like Obigbo, Etche, Omoku, Andoni, Egbema, Ahoada, Ogba and Oguta produce oil except the so called Ikwerre. Ikwerre as he said is the only community in Rivers State that doesn’t produce oil but they keep ruling Rivers State.
Therefore, Ikwerre to him is Fulani in Rivers State because they produce nothing but benefit everything. He emphasized that Nyesom Wike is developing only Ikwerre land without developing oil producing communities.
He called the governor’s attention into developing oil producing communities that have what makes Rivers State great.
His observation about developing non oil producing communities and not developing the indigenous oil producing communities in the same state, together with the communities that have oil, and Nyesom Wike being an Igbo man, got mixed reactions on Facebook where the news was posted.
Do you believe in what Asari Dokubo said or not concerning Nyesom Wike being an Igbo man and claiming not, and also Ikwerre like Fulani in Rivers State?
