We Are Ready To Die For El-Zakzaky – IMN Members

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) said they are ready to sacrifice their lives for the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenat El-Zakzaky.
Naija News reports that the Shiites leader and his wife are still being held by the federal government despite a Federal High Court judgement ordering their release.

Speaking to reporters in Abuja during a protest in Abuja, the spokesperson of the group, Abdullahi Musa, condemned the government for the continued detention of their leaders since December 2015 over a clash with the convoy of the immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai.

Musa said the group staged the peaceful protest to demand the immediate release of their leaders, adding that members of the movement are willing to die to ensure the release of El-Zakzaky and his wife,

He said the Shiites believe in the National Human Rights Commission to address their petition and vowed to continue its peaceful protest in the nation’s capital until their leaders are released.

Meanwhile, renowned Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has appointed Olayomi Koiki as his new spokesman.

In a new video released on Tuesday, Sunday Igboho said he will no longer grant interviews, stating that Koiki would be his mouthpiece going forward.

Igboho added that any news that comes from Koiki is authentic, urging all journalists and media houses to direct their questions to his new media aide.

He said: “I have been seeing fake news flying here and there, some said I’m not scared of civil war, any news that you see henceforth that is not from Koiki don’t believe it.

“Anything Koiki says about me is true because we sleep and wake up together everyday.”

The activist also denied media reports that he called for civil war, saying that his struggle is not about war but the criminal activities of Fulani herdsmen in the South West.

He said: “This fight is not about civil war, it is about the killer herdsmen who are killing our people.”
