See What Goodluck Jonathan Said After The Death Of The Former President Of Republic Of Mali


Goodluck Jonathan was the President of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria from the year 2010-2015, before he was defeated at the polls by the current president, Muhammadu Buhari. He was vice president of Nigeria from 2007 – 2010 before taking over as president after the passing away of President Umar Musa Yar’adua.

For his love of peace, this earned him an ambassador of peace at the African Union (AU), which he has been going on diplomatic missions for peace keeping across the African continent.

It was announced yesterday that the former President of Mali, Amadou Toumani Touré, had passed on, and so many people have been sending in their condolence messages. Former President Goodluck Jonathan has also done same as he he took to his official Twitter handle to condole with the Government and people of the Republic of Mali over the sad occurrence.

He stated that Amadou Toumani was a Malian statesman, who made significant contributions to governance by working assiduously for the development of his country and the sub-region.

He also said that he will be greatly missed across the continent because of his commitment to peaceful diplomacy, democratic reforms and socio-political stability.

Amadou Toumani Touré was president of Mali from 2002-2012. He was born on November 4, 1948 in Mopti, Mali. He dies on 10th November, 2020 in Istanbul Turkey (According to Wikipedia).
