Nigerians are already aware that the former Gorvernor of Lagos State and the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has been on the news recently that he has made his presidential ambition known to Nigerians. He was said to have paid a visit to president Muhammadu Buhari that he is going to run for the 2023 presidency. He has been nursing the presidential ambition even before president Muhammadu Buhari became tje president of Nigeria. He has declared hos interest after many days of expectations from his supporters.
Although, declaring interest is one thing among all, but winning is another big thing to put into consideration. Declaring interest doesn’ t mean that he has won. He has a lot of things to do ahead. After making his interest for the 2023 presidency known, we should be aware that there are many people who also have interest to contest on the platform in which he (Bola) has declared interest. There are some members of the party (APC) that have also made up their minds to run for the 2023 presidency. The only way Bola Tinubu can be assured of winning the 2023 presidency is after winning the Primaries election of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
A former National Vice- Chairman, South- West zone, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has described as an insult, the presidential ambition of National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu
He, however, said the former Lagos governor, Tinubu had a right to make his intentions known. While speaking on ‘ The Morning Show, ‘ a programme on Arise News, he said while he harboured no sentiments against Tinubu, there were some facts he knew about the former Lagos governor.
Speaking further, he alleged that the APC leader appropriated all the resources of Lagos State for his personal use when he governed the state. He said, ” We should have people whose character is sellable anywhere in the world. ” He added, ” In a civilised society, democracy is so vital and it’ s important to do whatever it takes to make it succeed.
Looking at his past and all he has done, his wanting to run for president is an insult to us.
” My party is ready and it will not be a dog fight as we centre ourselves on justice, fairness and equity. “
