The founder of the Works word of God Church, Pastor Olabisi Gabriel Adegboye, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of trying to silence Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho.
The clergyman in his Facebook post said he was speaking as a servant of God sent to Nigeria to speak peace and encourage reconciliation.
According to Pastor Adegboye, there is no justification strong enough to defend the Nigerian government and its agency, the Department of State Services, DSS, concerning the midnight attack against Igboho.
He said: “He [Igboho] held rallies in Osogbo, Ibadan, Ogun, Ondo, and Ado Ekiti without any breaking down of law and no casualty whatsoever at any time. He claimed to be defending his people against r*pe, murder, and destruction of their farm and vegetation.
“To proof this, when he heard that DSS and Soldiers were in his compound, he retreated, withdrew himself to avoid confrontation with law enforcement agents of the Country.
“I want the government of the Federation to always justify its action before descending on any Citizen of your Country.
“Why DSS, why? Alfa Gumi that is giving covering and interacting with the bandits is yet to be arrested.
“Wakili the terrorist, who was arrested by members of OPC is yet to be arraigned in court nor his house attacked by DSS.
“I know that prevention is better than cure, yet the measure taken was an anti-democratic invasion. Let sleeping dog my dear DSS.
“I suggest giving a sound of warning through the Yoruba leaders of thought and their Royal fathers before carrying out an attack on someone who is representing the Yoruba race peacefully. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. God bless His Excellency.
“Let peace reign in Nigeria and stop using violence to correct your citizens
Whatever reason behind this attack is not comely enough to result in manhandling of human beings this way.
“I’m sent by God to give this piece of advice to avoid an escalated crisis in the country, especially in the South West.
Adegboye, Gabriel Olabisi is my name’

PRESIDENT BUHARI MUST RELEASE NNAMDI KANU- POPULAR PROPHET WARNS
The Prophet of Calvary Faith Evangelical Ministries International (CFEM), Prophet David Olorunleke has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to release the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, and not go after Sunday Igboho.
According to the clergyman, he said this is in the interest of peace and unity to reign in the country and said that both agitators are not above the law in Nigeria but begged the President to consider dialogue with them in the interest of unity of the nation.
Olorunlake made this known at CFEM’s Open Heaven Service in Jos, Plateau State.
The Prophet blamed the current agitations in the country on the perceived “political marginalization”, and said dialogue with the aforementioned agitators will douse tension and resolve a lot of issues.
He said: “I want to plead with President Muhammadu Buhari to release Nnamdi Kanu and shouldn’t go after Sunday Igboho, not because they are above the law, but he should treat them as his children.
“Nigeria belongs to all, and when political appointments are given based on ethnicity, religion, and where you come from, it will create room for agitations.
“Nigeria stands to enjoy more from the prosperity of this country if the nation remains together as an indivisible entity.”
