Several Speculations Looms PDP As Wike Invite Lagos State Governor, Sanwoolu To Inaugurate State Project

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has invited Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu to the inauguration of the newly constructed Orochiri- Worukwo (Waterline Junction) flyover in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The invitation comes amid a crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between Wike and the party’ s 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Recall that the party’ s 16- member committee to select a vice presidential candidate, Atiku refused to select him (Wike) as a candidate for the upcoming election, the two men had a falling out.

POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Wike announced this while inspecting some ongoing projects in Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt local government areas of the state.

He announced that the next phase of opening the project will start on August 8 and will last two weeks. In addition, he disclosed that the next project to be inaugurated will be the Ogbum- Nu- Abali Eastern Bypass.

And this would be done by Aliyu Wammako, a former governor who is also an APC chairman. Wike called on all the people of the state to join the government in thanking God Almighty for the achievements of his administration.

In other news, Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Adakole Ijoki, on Wednesday said Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has the support of five governors, former governors and legislators in the ongoing crisis in the party.
