Nigerian businessman and CEO of Ovation international, Dele Momodu has slammed some Nigerians who allegedly called Former President Goodluck Jonathan unprintable names during his term but can’t speak up on the challenges that Nigeria is facing currently.
Momodu was live on his Facebook page few hours ago and he made it clear that he respects President Muhammadu Buhari a lot but that doesn’t stop him from disagreeing with some of the actions of the President or speaking up on issues that the President must work on.
He stated that it’s not right for some Nigerians who criticized Jonathan during his tenure to be silent now. In his words;
“I disagree with the leadership style of President Buhari but I don’t have anything personal against him. If I meet him tomorrow, we would still interact like old buddies. A lot of people who have friends in power can’t talk, that’s why people like us who can speak up should be appreciated. I don’t see why anyone should justify what is going on in Nigeria right now.
“We all criticized Jonathan in his time and some people even called him unprintable names but today, those people are saying that they can’t talk. Shame on those of us who are keeping quiet. We must be able to address our leaders in a decorous manner. I’m not saying we should be rude to the government but we should be able to speak the truth.”
