Senator Babafemi Ojudu, who is a political adviser to President Buhari, has disclosed that, there is no disagreement between Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
According to THE NATION, he made this known through a statement titled: ‘ 2023 presidential election: No to divisive politics; attempts to foist a crack between Osinbajo and Tinubu will fail. ‘
According to the statement; there is no disagreement between Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Yemi Osinbajo.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has not given a go ahead for politicking towards 2023 general election.
As a law abiding citizen, Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo will not commerce any act in disregard to the rules and regulations of INEC. In any case he has not yet indicated his interest in the 2023 presidential elections, it added.
Recall that, Bola Ahmed Tinubu together with some northern elites, did all within their power to ensure the formation of a strong force against the then ruling party, which is the People’ s Democratic Party (PDP).
Some citizens of the country have often said that, as a result of his efforts in ensuring the success of the party, he was promised the presidential ticket after the two terms of President Buhari, in office.
Ever since then, he has been an ardent supporter of the President.
However, there has been some insinuations from some quarters in the country, that Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo, who was recommended to President Muhammadu Buhari by Tinubu, is now the party’ s favoured candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
Although, the 2023 presidential election is still far away, but many Nigerians are already saying that, if the Vice- President eventually becomes the party’ s presidential flagbearer, then the APC is likely to win the presidential election, as most Nigerians are in love with his style of leadership.
