The Peoples Democratic Party’ s newly appointed National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, has made a shocking revelation concerning the party’ s loss in the 2015 presidential election.
The newly appointed national chairman made this known while speaking with newsmen during the weekend.
First and foremost, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, notes that for democracy to have an effect in Nigeria, the People’ s Democratic Party needs to lose the 2015 presidential election.
He then further revealed that if the People’ s Democratic Party had won the 2015 presidential election, the party would have become a dictatorship party or even become arrogant to Nigerians.
He then also revealed that the People’ s Democratic Party would have learned that there was something they had done that caused power to shift away from the party in 2015 and would have corrected these mistakes. He then also added that as the newly appointed national chairman of the party, he is very confident that the People’ s Democratic Party will take over Nigeria just like they have previously done before when 20 sitting governors are from the party.
And in Dr. Iyorchia AAyu’ sswords that were made available on The Nation News platform, he said that ” In a democracy, it’ s normal for a political party to lose power. If we didn’ t lose power, maybe we would have become a dictatorship or become complacent” .
” To believe in democracy…there must have been something we were doing wrong or must have done wrong that the Nigerian electorate shifted” .
He also added that ” But today, if we didn’ t lose power, they wouldn’ t experience the policies and programs of the other party. ”
They would think there is something better than us. Thank God we lost power. Today, Nigerian people know better.
He then further revealed that ” And I believe we will re- energize the party and take over power again, not only at the center but in Nigeria, there is a lot of attention taking power at the federal level. There was a time when the PDP ruled over about 20 states. ”
