Single Ladies In One Certain Part Of Nigeria Cry Out Over Scarcity Of Husband In The State.

This might be surprising and funny but We need husbands seriously, Single women in a certain state in Nigeria cry out for help.

It may sounds funny, more or less drama as some single women in Gombe State have cried out for help to he public over their inability to secure men who will marry them.

According to the Nation, report has it that this trend which is termed ugly has been for a certain period of time in the North western part of the country. We could all remember in September 2013, Suwaiba Isa led more than 8,000 women in Zamfara State to protest over scarcity of husbands.. One man named Abdulrahim Alao Yusuf who is seem as Oba of Yoruba in Gombe state said more than 60 percent of the population of non indigene in the state comprises of people from Southwest.

Godiya Adamu, who is an indigene and resident of the state age 35 years said she is yet to find a husband. In her statement, I have been unable to find a man who is serious about marriage. What would I do, I can’t force myself on men. I have tried 5 relationships without meaningful results and as far as I am concerned, life continues with or without a man..

Another, Abigail who is single mother of two children said she deliberately chose to be single mum because of rest of mind. I cannot be a second wife in any marriage and I am living well in my house here in Gombe with my children. There is nothing new under he sun, one should go for whatever thing that brings happiness.

Esther, a 45 years old single lady disclosed that this new trend is to go out of your state and culture to marry. Another lady who goes by the name Amina said her problem is the education she had. Most men in the north are not willing to marry an educated women.

Report has it that Rev. Adamu Dauda of ECWA Gospel Church, Gombe identity it that the situation is alarming and he church meetings with youths of over 1500, only to detect that 70 percent were single and unmarried also the Chief Imam of Government house mosque in Gombe, Sheik Dr. Zakariya Hajiya blamed the scarcity of husbands for women in the state on poverty.
