Former Lagos State Governor, Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu has disclosed that the physiotherapy he underwent in London was gruesome.
The National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) made this known on Friday while in an interactive session with members of the House of Representatives Northern Caucus who paid him a visit in London.
According to a report by The Punch Newspaper, the APC chieftain who, three months ago traveled to the United Kingdom (UK) for medical attention.
He reportedly underwent knee surgery. The elder statesman said the physiotherapy he underwent was ” gruesome” .
Addressing the visiting Members of the House of Representatives, Chief Bola Tinubu spoke about the experience he had when he underwent.
Dressed in Kaftan and a red cap, he said: ” Because of God and people like you. It is just the physio (physiotherapy) that is gruesome. ”
Since he left Nigeria for the United Kingdom (UK), several Nigerian politicians have visited him. They have largely visited him to greet him.
Among those who visited him are President Muhammadu Buhari, House of Representatives speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Governor Abdulahi Ganduje of Kano state.
Others are; Governor Dapo Abiodun, Babajide Sanwo- Olu (Lagos), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), and Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
The National leader of the APC, Chief Bola Tinubu, is believed to be one of those who eye the presidency in 2023. He is said to be one of the most favored potential aspirant under the platform of the APC.
Recently, he was rumored to have returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom where he was recuperating. It however, turned out to be false.
President Muhammadu Buhari, Concerned About Good Leadership In Nigeria- APC Chieftain
An APC Chieftain from Adamawa state, Malam Ahmad Sajoh, has opined that President Muhammadu Buhari is committed to providing good leadership in Nigeria.
The former Commissioner for Information disclosed this on Saturday. He said the President’ s independent speech speaks volumes of his passion and desire to better the lot of Nigeria.
Mallam Sajoh added that Buhari was given to a more developed Nigeria where all Nigerians are given equal opportunities to thrive.
According to a report by The Guardian Nigeria, Malam Ahmad Sajoh described President Buhari as honest and humble when he agreed that the past 18 months were hard for Nigerians.
Speaking about the President’ s independent speech, he said: ” That is the mark of a committed leader, accepting challenges of the moment demonstrates commitment to solve them.
” The central theme of the address is hope. The hope that Nigeria will surely overcome her challenges. The hope that our resilience as a people can concur our misfortunes, and in our diversity lies the needs of our unity, ” the former commissioner said.
2023 PRESIDENCY: ‘ Leave Zoning To Political Parties’ – Governor Ganduje
Kano state governor, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje, has charged Governors of the Southern region of Nigeria to leave zoning of the presidency to Political partyes.
Governor Ganduje gave the charge on Saturday while having an interview with a Vanguard News correspondent. He regretted the exchange of words between some Northern and Southern governors.
Vanguard News quoted him to have said: ” If you think power shift will bring you votes to win elections, you have not offended the Constitution.
” If you think you can retain leadership of this country forever and win elections, the Constitution is not offended.
” So I thought this issue should be left to political parties to resolve. Not we as governors to have two opposing groups. That is important, ” the governor said.
He urged the chairman of the Nigerian governors forum to call a meeting where the governors can meet to resolve issues amicably. He said such a meetin will be a privilege for the governors to apologize to each other.
Non- Education Of Herders’ Children, Greatest Evil Of Open Grazing- Kano Gov
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje said Open grazing is evil as it does not provide the opportunity for herders’ children.
The governor made this known during an interactive session with members of the press. He said open grazing was a disadvantage to the herders.
According to Vanguard News, Governor Ganduje, while talking about the ills of open grazing said: ” I have been saying it; is unfortunate that the issue of open grazing have brought a lot of controversy.
” Trekking from the northern part of this country to the middle belt or central part If this country or to the south, to me, is not acceptable.
” The children will not be able to have education, which to me is criminal. Will the education system follow them along the routes from north to central to southern parts of country? Can anyone educational system agreed with what.
” That is why at the Dansoshiya Forest here in Kano we are creating the Ruga system where we provide water, housing, markets, veterinary clinic and educational system for the children so that they can be enjoying social development like any other person in Nigeria, ” the governor submitted.
Governor Abdulahi Ganduje revealed that once he was in China, and when he asked his Chinese driver about the Cows in China, he was told that they were all in one zone.
The governor said he was made to understand that whoever wants to rear cattle has to live and work in that zone and that is why Cattle are rarely seen within Chinese towns.
Governor Abdulahi Ganduje pointed out that the greatest crime in open grazing from North to South is lack of education for the children. He said for him, not giving the children the time to get an education was criminal enough
