Troops yesterday Sunday engaged Boko Haram armed with 2 VBIED around Kafa axis, Borno. 6 insurgents killed and several escaped with gunshot wounds. Troop captured one guntruck and some weapons, destroyed 2 VBIED and 2 guntrucks, while 5 soldiers paid supreme price and some injured.
Our soldiers are indeed trying and they deserve to be celebrated for putting their lives on the line for us. As we all know, insecurity in the north is very discouraging and we have lost a lot of Nigerians to this attacks by the Boko Haram. If not for the hard work of our soldiers, perhaps the case would have worsen than we are experiencing now.
They did the unthinkable in Kafa, Borno state yesterday and it’s so sad that some of the soldiers had to pay the ultimate prize. Not less than five of them died according to the report gotten. Though some of the insurgent escaped but about six of them were killed and gun trucks were recovered.
