The suspects confessed to kidnapping Hauwa Umaru and her daughter, as well as an Ibbare resident named Alhaji Bahago, before launching an attack on the Ngurore police station, where they were later discovered.
Three more gang members were later apprehended with the help of skilled hunters, as revealed by the police.
Tumba Alhaji Dan Bappa, 25, a native of Ibbare district in Yola south LGA, Buba Alhaji Abdu, a resident of Ibbare in Ngurore District, and Abdullahi Lawal, a resident of Lau local government area in Taraba State were among the three arrested gang members, according to him.
It was also revealed by Nguroje that the alleged culprits were part of a seven- member group terrorizing the people of Adamawa and Taraba states, in addition to their involvement in the statewide operation.
According to him, once the investigation was complete, the suspects will be prosecuted in a court of law.
