The Senior Pastor of Living Faith Ministries, popularly known as Winners Chapel Bishop David Oyedepo has exposed some pastors who are accountants in the Church for defrauding the Church. This is a confirmation on what Benny Hinn had said about pastors in Africa, especially Nigeria.
Oyedepo made this known publicly in the Church and said they should not be engaged because of the lifestyle of stealing Church money to the tune of millions of Naira.
This exactly what Benny Hinn, the American Evangelist said to pastors in Africa, telling them to prepare for heaven. The focus should not be money but saving souls.
Recall that on September 2, 2019, during his 3-hour, 50-minute weekly broadcast, Hinn said he “I am correcting my own theology and you need to all know it,”
“The blessings of God are not for sale. And miracles are not for sale. And prosperity is not for sale.”
“I think giving has become such a gimmick,” Hinn said. “It’s making me sick to my stomach. And I’ve been sick for a while too. I just couldn’t say it. And now the lid is off. I’ve had it. You know why? I don’t want to get to heaven and be rebuked.” he said.
Recently in his Monday Night prayer and deliverance, using Acts 10:38. he said Church leaders should focus on the anointing and stopped prosperity message.
He said he has so many friends in Africa, especially Nigeria. He said he had told down to use the anointing to liberate people and to prepare their members for heaven.
Recall again that in April 2005, Hinn arrived in Nigeria for Healing Crusade but left in annoyance and disappointment.
He was visibly angry because of the huge amount of money he had invested in the crusade and the low turnout of estimated 300,000 people in attendance. He was actually expecting about six million people, with the kind of money spent on publicity.
He was quoted to have said “Four million dollars down the drain,” About $3 million was spent on hotel accommodations and technical infrastructure, while $1 million more was used up by members of the local organizing committee.
So, he is calling out on pastors at every of his meeting to change the trend of prosperity message and focus on heaven and winning of souls like the late evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.
